Storey - Rock Band | Website
I got involved with the design for storeymusic.com after Jonny Reggae from the well respected, Brighton based record label 'Catskills Records' contacted me. I produced 13 page designs using Photoshop. The sketches, logo and handwriting in the design are by the lead singer Arron Storey. The site has now gone live.
Danny Massure | Website
Danny Massure is based in Seattle and has just released a new album. He is an artist at the forefront of the Acid/Jazz/Funk scene, and needed a site to promote himself as a musician and DJ.
This is a project which is in development. The full version of the site will be up soon.
Clean Concepts | Website
Clean Concepts needed a web site for the following reasons:
- To have a professional appearance.
- To bring in more business by reaching more potential customers.
- To communicate effectively with customers - what the company does and how they do it.
- To provide easy-to-find information about Clean Concepts.
- To emphasize the professional working practices of Clean Concepts.
- To show references from happy / satisfied customers.
- To compete against other cleaning companies.
- To provide a cost effective way of advertising.
- To create a template that can evolve and be enhanced over time.
- To get in to high search engine ranks quickly and effectively.
I developed the initial design on paper, then made four completely different mock-up designs in Illustrator and Photoshop. When the client had agreed upon one of the designs I developed it further then built the site using verified XHTML, CSS and a PHP form mailer script provided by Dagon Design.
I tested the site in various browsers: Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer 5+, Opera, Navigator, Camino.
Creative Obsession | Web Culture
Creative Obsession is just a concept at the moment - it will be a website:
- Specifically aimed at helping creatives break into the industry.
- For people to talk about and generate ideas - to communicate and socialize
- A place to find high quality information and resources - to learn new things, be entertained and inspired.
- A place to find work which match their particular skills and generate an income.
- A place for professionals to build upon their knowledge and to offer practical advice to people starting out while at the same time getting exposure for themselves.
Spa Central | Website
I did the design for this website in Illustrator and got images from dreamstime.com. The project is now being developed by a colleague.
Bridge Mind Body | Website
This is one of the first sites I built. The maintenance has been taken over since I left the company but the basic structure has stayed the same. It is a layout using a tables technique which I learned from an evening course in web design at LCP back in 2002. I later found out that layout using tables was not the correct way to build web sites - which in turn taught me that college courses find it hard to keep up with the pace of technological developments.
I used Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. I now learn from the internet using resources such as:
Bridge Surrogacy | Website
This is a site which I built when I was working for a design and marketing company. I went through a similar process as mentioned in the Clean Concepts design. I haven't provided a link as the content is still being developed by the client.
I used Photoshop and Illustrator for the images and Dreamweaver to build the web pages.
